GRASS FIRE DANGER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX
320 AM CST FRI NOV 24 2017

...ELEVATED FIRE THREAT THIS AFTERNOON ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE
FROM SHERMAN TO DALLAS TO TEMPLE...

THE COMBINATION OF DRY, BREEZY AND UNSEASONABLY WARM CONDITIONS
WILL CREATE ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON FOR AREAS ALONG
AND WEST OF A LINE FROM SHERMAN TO DALLAS TO TEMPLE. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 70S TO LOWER 80S IN THESE
LOCATIONS, AND SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 10 TO 15 MPH DURING
THE AFTERNOON HOURS. FIRE DANGER WILL DECREASE AFTER SUNSET AS
TEMPERATURES FALL AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES INCREASE.

EXTREME CARE IS URGED DURING ALL OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES WHERE THERE
IS A POTENTIAL FOR GRASS FIRES TO GET STARTED. AVOID OUTSIDE
BURNING AND WELDING. DO NOT TOSS LIT CIGARETTE BUTTS OUTSIDE.
REPORT WILD FIRES TO THE NEAREST FIRE DEPARTMENT OR LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICE QUICKLY.
