...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR THE NORTHERN
SOUTH PLAINS AND MUCH OF THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...

WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR RAPID FIRE SPREAD IN
WILDLAND GRASSES.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY: 10 TO 15 PERCENT.

* 20 FOOT WIND: SUSTAINED FROM THE SOUTHWEST AT 15 TO 20 MPH WITH
  HIGHER GUSTS.

* TEMPERATURE: 15 TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE.

* FUELS: DRY.

* TIMING: THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS...COMING TO AN ABRUPT END
  AROUND SUNSET.

THESE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF LARGE
GRASS FIRES. OUTDOOR BURNING AND ACTIVITIES THAT CAUSE OPEN SPARKS
OR FLAMES ARE DISCOURAGED.
