WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHICAGO/ROMEOVILLE IL
552 PM CDT FRI AUG 22 2014 /652 PM EDT FRI AUG 22 2014/

LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTHWEST WISCONSIN WITH A COLD FRONT EXTENDING
SOUTHWEST INTO KANSAS AND AN ASSOCIATED WARM FRONT EXTENDING
SOUTHEAST INTO SOUTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN WILL REMAIN OVER THE AREA
THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

FOR THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY THERE WILL BE MANY DRY PERIODS.
HOWEVER...THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT THE SOUTHERN AND WESTERN TIER
COUNTIES LOOK TO BE THE FAVORED AREAS FOR ISOLATED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. THE SHOWERS AND STORMS COULD LAST INTO SATURDAY
MORNING. FOR SATURDAY IT ALSO SEEMS THAT THE SOUTH AND WESTERN
COUNTIES ARE THE BEST PLACES FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS. THE HEAT AND
HUMIDITY WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT
WEEK...THOUGH ONSHORE WINDS WILL KEEP THE ENTIRE LAKEFRONT
SLIGHTLY COOLER ON SATURDAY AND THE ILLINOIS SHORE A BIT COOLER
SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. THERE WILL BE PERIODIC CHANCES FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY...WITH PRIMARILY
DRY CONDITIONS EXPECTED ON SUNDAY.
