HERE IS A LOOK AT THE WEATHER FEATURES THAT WILL AFFECT THE REGION
OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER MICHIGAN WILL PIVOT ACROSS THE REGION
OVERNIGHT AND TUESDAY. MEANWHILE A SECOND LOW PRESSURE CENTER WILL
DEVELOP OVER SOUTHEASTERN VIRGINIA OVERNIGHT AND HEAD NORTHEAST
TUESDAY. THIS COMBINATION WILL SUPPORT A PROLONGED PERIOD OF
UNSETTLED WEATHER...WITH A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW OVERNIGHT
GRADUALLY TRANSITIONING TO OCCASIONAL SNOW ON TUESDAY.

THE LOW WILL MOVE AWAY FROM THE AREA DURING THE MIDDLE PORTION OF
THE WEEK. HOWEVER...SNOW SHOWERS WILL LINGER ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS. IN ADDITION...A MUCH COLDER AIRMASS WILL FOLLOW IN ITS
WAKE...WHICH WILL BE REINFORCED THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND.
