...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN CATRON COUNTY UNTIL
630 PM MDT...

At 553 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles southwest of Salt Lake, or 29 miles northeast of Springerville,
moving southeast at 10 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with this storm.

Heavy rain and frequent and dangerous cloud to ground lightning
are also occurring with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Catron
County.

Heavy rains will cause water to pond on roads and in low spots. Fast
running water will quickly fill arroyos and ditches. Turn around
when you encounter a flooded road, so you don`t drown. Most flood
deaths occur in automobiles.
