...WIDE RANGES OF TEMPERATURES IN THE TANANA VALLEY...

FAIRBANKS AND THE REMAINDER OF THE TANANA VALLEY ARE SEEING WIDE
RANGES IN TEMPERATURES THE LAST COUPLE DAYS.

WINDS IN THE CHENA RIVER VALLEY HAVE PICKED UP WITH GUSTS TO
AROUND 25 MPH. THE WIND DRAINING OUT OF THE VALLEY HAVE BEEN
ENOUGH TO MIX THE COLD AIR AWAY FROM THE SURFACE IN AREAS TO THE
EAST OF FAIRBANKS AND NORTH OF EIELSON AFB.

TEMPERATURES AT THE FAIRBANKS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND EIELSON
AFB WILL RANGE FROM 15 TO 30 BELOW TODAY AND WEDNESDAY WHILE
THOSE IN THE FT WAINWRIGHT AND NORTH POLE AREA WILL RANGE FROM 5
TO 15 BELOW.

THIS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY WHEN THE WINDS IN
THE CHENA RIVER VALLEY ARE EXPECTED TO SUBSIDE.
