...Elevated Fire Weather Potential Friday...

Dry conditions persist across western Massachusetts and northwest
Connecticut with the overall recent lack of precipitation. During
Friday, northwest winds will gust to around 20 to 25 mph. These
winds will combine with warmer than normal temperatures in the mid
to upper 60s, and a dry airmass, to yield minimum relative
humidity values of 25 to 35 percent. This will lead to an
elevated fire weather potential during the day time Friday.

...Breezy Winds and Dry Weather Increases Fire Weather Concerns
Again on Friday...

Fire officials advise against any open burning...including
campfires on Friday across southern Vermont. The lack of
precipitation this month has led to very dry conditions.
Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with localized gusts 20 to 25 mph are
expected on Friday with minimum relative humidity values in the
25 to 35 percent range. All of these factors will increase the
potential for any fires that do start to spread quickly and become
more difficult to contain.
