...ELEVATED TIDE LEVELS ALONG GULF FACING BEACHES EARLY THIS EVENING...

TIDE LEVELS ARE RUNNING FROM 3 QUARTERS TO ONE FOOT ABOVE
PREDICTED LEVELS ALONG THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST TODAY. THE
COMBINATION OF PERSISTENT NORTHEAST FLOW AND MINOR SWELL WILL LEAD
TO A CONTINUATION OF ELEVATED TIDE LEVELS ALONG PORTIONS OF THE
GULF FACING BEACHES EARLY THIS EVENING. THE BEACHES MOST IMPACTED
WILL BE THE GULF FACING BEACHES ALONG PADRE ISLAND AND SOUTHERN
MUSTANG ISLAND.

WATER LEVELS MAY APPROACH OR BRIEFLY EXCEED 2 FEET ABOVE MEAN SEA
LEVEL WITH HIGH TIDE EARLY THIS EVENING. THIS MAY LEAD TO WATER
APPROACHING THE DUNES IN A FEW LOCATIONS THROUGH LATE
EVENING. WATER GENERALLY COVERS TWO THIRDS OF THE BEACH WHEN
WATER LEVELS REACH 1.75 FT ABOVE MEAN SEA LEVEL. USE CAUTION IF
YOU MUST DRIVE ON AREA BEACHES THIS EVENING.
