...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING SMALL HAIL ARE EXPECTED LATE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...
...WINTRY-LIKE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY...

A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING PRODUCING LIKELY CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY A
THUNDERSTORM. DUE TO THE COLD AIR ALOFT...A FEW OF THE STORMS WILL
PRODUCE SMALL HAIL...GENERALLY NO LARGER THAN PEA SIZE. BESIDES THE
HAIL...STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS AND BRIEF HEAVY RAIN CAN BE
ANTICIPATED WHICH MAY EFFECT THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
COMMUTE.

THE COLD FRONT WILL USHER IN UNSEASONABLY COLD AIR INTO THE REGION
FOR TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL
ALSO MOVE SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA. SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE
OVER THE REGION. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH ACROSS THE
HIGHEST ELEVATIONS...GENERALLY AT OR ABOVE 4500 FEET...FOR THE RAIN
TO MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE.

AREAS MOST OF RISK OF SEEING SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE ACROSS THE
HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS AND ROANE MOUNTAIN.
