HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM NEAR 4 INCHES ACROSS THE
NORTH TO OVER A FOOT OF SNOW ACROSS PARTS OF THE SOUTH...NAMELY
THE PENNYRILE REGION OF WESTERN KENTUCKY...HAVE OCCURRED THROUGH
THESE EARLY MORNING HOURS. THIS HAS RESULTED IN IMPASSABLE ROADS
FOR MUCH OF THE REGION. TEMPERATURES WILL HOVER IN THE TEENS AND
20S TODAY AS PRECIPITATION WINDS DOWN THIS MORNING. SUNSHINE MAY
ACTUALLY RETURN BY AFTERNOON. ARCTIC COLD HOLDS INTO FRIDAY WITH
LOWS TONIGHT PLUMMETING TOWARD THE ZERO MARK AS HIGH PRESSURE
SETTLES OVERTOP THE TENNESSEE VALLEY. TEMPERATURES REMAIN BELOW 32
DEGREES UNTIL THIS WEEKEND...WHEN A GRADUAL MODERATING TREND
BEGINS AND CONTINUES INTO AND THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE NEXT
WORK WEEK. WE SHOULD SEE 40S THIS WEEKEND...50S MONDAY AND
TUESDAY...AND COULD FLIRT WITH 60 DEGREES BY NEXT WEDNESDAY.
