URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...STORM SYSTEM WINDING DOWN ACROSS NORTHERN COLORADO...

.A storm system centered along the Colorado and Wyoming border
will continue to move east and into Nebraska on Friday. Snow will
taper off most areas this evening, although periods of snow will
continue across the high country through Friday. Another round of
light snow is expected to develop over the northeastern corner of
the state later tonight into Friday morning.

The snowfall in conjunction with much colder temperatures will
lead to snow covered and slick roads, and hazardous travel
conditions.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MST
FRIDAY...

* AFFECTED AREAS...Jackson...Grand...Northwest Boulder...and
  western Larimer counties above 9000 ft.

* TIMING...Periods of snow will continue overnight and gradually
  decrease Friday morning.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Another 2 to 4 inches, bringing storm
  totals into the 5 to 14 inch range...heaviest in the Front Range
  Mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park area.

* WIND/VISIBILITY...West to northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with
  gusts to 40 mph. Snow will reduce visibilities to one half
  mile at times.

* IMPACTS...Snow and winds will create hazardous winter driving
  conditions with blowing and drifting snow. Roads will become
  icy and snow packed.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.

* AFFECTED AREAS...Sedgwick and Phillips Counties.

* TIMING...Periods of light snow will continue through Friday
  morning.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...another 1 to 3 inches, with storm totals
  of 2 to 5 inches.

* WIND/VISIBILITY...North winds 10 to 20 mph. Visibility down to
  1 mile at times in snow.

* IMPACTS...Snow and colder temperatures will create snow
  covered roads and hazardous winter driving conditions. Drivers
  should exercise caution and allow extra time to reach your
  destination safely.
