...SNOW FOR THE DULUTH AREA AND MINNESOTA NORTH SHORE THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

.LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW ACROSS NORTHEAST MINNESOTA TODAY WILL
BRING TOTAL SNOWFALL OF ABOUT 3 TO 6 INCHES FROM THE DULUTH AREA
AND UP ALONG THE MINNESOTA NORTH SHORE. THE GREATEST AMOUNTS WILL
BE ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN NEAR LUTSEN...GRAND MARAIS...AND
GRAND PORTAGE. AREAS ALONG THE IMMEDIATE SHORELINE WILL GET THE
LIGHTER AMOUNTS. THERE COULD BE BRIEF PERIODS OF LOW VISIBILITY
ALONG HIGHWAY 61 BECAUSE OF STRONG SOUTHERLY FLOW COMING OFF LAKE
SUPERIOR. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST THIS EVENING.

  THE HIGHER TERRAIN INLAND FROM THE NORTH SHORE.

* TIMING...THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE GREATEST SNOWFALL RATES
  WILL BE IN THE AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...A TOTAL OF 3 TO 6 INCHES. THE GREATEST
  SNOWFALL WILL BE ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

* VISIBILITY...ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES...BUT GUSTY WINDS OFF LAKE
  SUPERIOR COMBINED...WITH HEAVIER SNOW BURSTS...COULD DROP
  VISIBILITY TO ONE-QUARTER MILE ALONG PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY 61.

* IMPACTS...THE SNOW COULD CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES.

  HARBORS AREA AS OF 300 PM...SO ABOUT AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES
  ARE POSSIBLE. THE GREATEST SNOWFALL WILL BE ALONG THE HIGHER
  TERRAIN...NORTH OF SILVER BAY TO LITTLE MARAIS.

* VISIBILITY...ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES...BUT GUSTY WINDS OFF LAKE
  SUPERIOR...COMBINED WITH HEAVIER SNOW BURSTS...COULD DROP
