NORTHERN IOWA...

.SNOW IS SPREAD AND INTENSIFY AGAIN LATE TONIGHT INTO THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHERN IOWA. IN ADDITION...THE WIND
WILL BECOME BREEZY AND LIKELY CREATE SOME BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED
VISIBILITIES AT TIMES.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST SUNDAY...

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...A BAND OF MODERATE LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW IS
  EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATER THIS EVENING AND SPAN ACROSS MUCH OF
  NORTHERN IOWA DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS WILL
  RANGE FROM 6 TO 9 INCHES. LOCALLY HIGHER ACCUMULATIONS MAY
  OCCUR.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...SOUTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH WILL INCREASE
  OVERNIGHT INTO THE 15 TO 20 MPH RANGE WITH GUSTS NEAR 25 MPH.
  VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE HALF MILE AT
  TIMES.

* IMPACTS...THE PRIMARY IMPACTS WILL BE VERY HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
  CONDITIONS DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SNOW COVERED AND ICY
  ROADS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL, KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT, FOOD,
AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...ADDITIONAL PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW ARE
  ANTICIPATED LATE THIS EVENING AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS FOR THE
  EVENT WILL RANGE FROM 2 TO 6 INCHES WITH THE GREATEST AMOUNTS
  NORTH AND LESSER AMOUNTS SOUTH BY SUNDAY MORNING.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...SOUTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH WILL INCREASE
  OVERNIGHT INTO THE 15 TO 20 MPH RANGE WITH GUSTS NEAR 25 MPH.
  VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE HALF MILE AT
  TIMES.

* IMPACTS...THE PRIMARY IMPACTS WILL BE VERY HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
  CONDITIONS DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SNOW COVERED AND ICY
  ROADS.
