...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKDT TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FAIRBANKS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKDT
TUESDAY.

* LOCATION...ELEVATIONS ABOVE 3000 FEET

* SNOW...6 TO 8 INCHES

* BLOWING SNOW...SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WILL INCREASE TO 35 MPH
  IN THE AFTERNOON NEAR ATIGUN PASS WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY TO ONE
  HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING ABOVE 3000 FEET AND
  WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS
  AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY MORNING AND WILL CAUSE
  REDUCED VISIBILITY IN BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WILL BE DIFFICULT
