5 PM MST TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN POCATELLO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR MODERATE SNOW...AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS
IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM MST TUESDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BE LIGHT DURING THE EVENING...THEN INTENSIFY
  AFTER 11 PM AND CONTINUE THAT WAY UNTIL AROUND 8 AM TUESDAY
  MORNING. LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE AFTER 8 AM UNTIL THE
  AFTERNOON.

* MAIN IMPACT...1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW...ALONG WITH SOME DRIFTING
  SNOW...WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT...MAINLY TONIGHT AND TUESDAY
  MORNING.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE...THE SNAKE RIVER PLAIN...MAINLY IN THE AREAS
  ALONG THE INTERSTATE 15 AND INTERSTATE 86 CORRIDORS...INCLUDING
  REXBURG...IDAHO FALLS...SHELLEY...BLACKFOOT...POCATELLO
  CHUBBUCK...AND AMERICAN FALLS.

* OTHER IMPACTS...BLOWING SNOW CAN REDUCE VISIBILITY SUDDENLY AS
  AN ADDITIONAL HAZARD TO TRAVEL.

VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN POCATELLO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR MODERATE SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM MST TUESDAY.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND
  EARLY EVENING...THEN INTENSIFY OVERNIGHT. 2 TO 8 INCHES ARE
  POSSIBLE AT ALL ELEVATIONS. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL BE ON THE
  HIGH ELEVATION PASSES HEADING INTO WYOMING AND THE PINE CREEK
  PASS BETWEEN SWAN VALLEY AND DRIGGS.

* MAIN IMPACT...MODERATE SNOW...COMBINED WITH DRIFTING SNOW...WILL
  MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY OVER HIGH ELEVATION PASSES.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE...FROM ISLAND PARK TO SODA SPRINGS...AND FROM
  INTERSTATE 15 TO THE WYOMING BORDER.

* OTHER IMPACTS...BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW CAN MAKE EVEN RECENTLY
  PLOWED ROADS QUICKLY IMPASSABLE.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
