Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
400 PM EDT Fri Oct 13 2017

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.0 inch low pressure system over Hudson Bay will
push a 29.9 inch trough across eastern Lake Superior this evening.
A 30.2 inch ridge will briefly move over Lake Superior Saturday
while low pressure of 29.7 inches develops over the Central
Plains. Expect the low to deepen to 29.4 inches as it tracks to
the Upper Great Lakes on Saturday night. This low will strengthen
to 29.2 inches by the time it reaches southern Quebec on Sunday
afternoon. In the wake of the low, high pressure of 30.4 inches
over the Southern Plains on Sunday will extend a ridge of 30.2
inches across the Great Lakes on Monday. A weak trough of 29.9
inches will quickly sweep over the area Tuesday followed by a
secondary 30.1 inch ridge. A 29.8 inch trough will then pass
across the Upper Great Lakes on Wednesday.
