Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
400 PM EDT Wed Oct 11 2017

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.3 inch high pressure ridge over the Upper Great
Lakes will move over Quebec and northern New England through
Thursday, strengthening to 30.5 inches while a 29.7 inch low
pressure trough emerges over the western High Plains. This low
will track northeast and strengthen to 29.1 inches over Hudson
Bay by Friday as it pushes a 29.9 inch trough across Lake
Superior. A 30.2 inch ridge will briefly move over Lake Superior
Saturday, but a 29.7 inch low will quickly swing out of the
southern plains to over the central Great Lakes on Sunday. A 30.4
inch high will replace it in the southern plains Monday, extending
a 30.2 inch ridge over the upper Great Lakes.
