Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.2 inch high pressure ridge is extending from the
central Plains, across the Great Lakes and into Ontario this
morning. This should continue to weaken while shifting to the
Lower Great Lakes by late this evening, then 29.4 inch low
pressure will drop southeast into northern Ontario. This low will
slowly track across northern Ontario tonight and Saturday and then
across southern Quebec on Sunday. In its wake, 30.6 inch high
pressure building over Saskatchewan and Manitoba Saturday night
and Sunday will weaken to 30.4 inches as it settles over the
Northern Plains during Sunday night. A 30.1 inch ridge extending
from the high will cross Lake Superior late Monday afternoon and
Monday night. The ridge will be quickly followed by a 29.7 inch
low pressure trough that crosses Lake Superior on Tuesday.
