Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.
Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.SYNOPSIS...A 30.0 inch ridge over the eastern third of Lake
Superior will push east off the lake as a 29.6 inch trough
approaches from the Northern Plains tonight. This trough will move
over Lake Superior at 29.6 inches Tuesday, then exit east across
Ontario and into Quebec Tuesday night into Wednesday. Meanwhile,
30.3 inch ridging builds southeast from northern Manitoba,
reaching the Upper Great Lakes by Wednesday night at 30.0 inches.
Just to its south, a 29.8 inch low will lift through southern Lake
Michigan and lower Michigan Thursday while the ridge builds to
30.2 inches. The ridge will remain overhead Friday, but weaken
Friday night as a 29.6 inch low drifts southeast through Manitoba
toward the Upper Great Lakes.
