FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
545 AM EDT SUN AUG 24 2014

...HUMID THROUGH MONDAY THEN DRIER FOR THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LIFTING NORTH THROUGH THE
NORTHERN PLAINS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE HUMID CONDITIONS OVER UPPER
MICHIGAN THROUGH MONDAY. A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL SWEEP FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN
LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH MID MONDAY AFTERNOON AND BRING THE
OPPORTUNITY FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA. BEHIND THE
COLD FRONT MUCH COOLER AND DRIER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE AREA. THERE MAY BE A STRAY
SHOWER AFFECTING SOUTH CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN MONDAY AND TUESDAY
NIGHTS...BUT THE BEST CHANCES WILL REMAIN SOUTH OF THE U.P.
