FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
530 AM EDT SUN JUL 27 2014

...MUCH COOLER TODAY WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS...

.DISCUSSION...AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD
EARLY THIS MORNING WILL DROP SOUTHEAST ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN THROUGH
THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. THIS WILL LEAD TO RAIN SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF UPPER MICHIGAN. MOST OF THE AREA WILL SEE
BETWEEN 0.10-0.20 RAIN...ALTHOUGH HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE OVER
PORTIONS OF CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN. DRIER AIR WILL QUICKLY MOVE IN
BEHIND THE LOW LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND REMAIN INTO MONDAY. WITH SOME
SUNSHINE ON MONDAY...EXPECT RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES TO FALL TO 35 TO
45 PERCENT AND TEMPERATURES TO RISE INTO THE UPPER 60S AND LOWER 70S
AWAY FROM LAKE SUPERIOR. A SERIES OF DISTURBANCES WILL BRING PERIODS
OF SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA FOR THE REST OF THE
WORK WEEK. THE BEST OPPORTUNITY FOR WIDESPREAD RAINFALL WILL BE ON
TUESDAY...WHILE THE REST WEEK WILL GENERALLY SEE HIT OR MISS
AFTERNOON SHOWERS OVER INTERIOR LOCATIONS. TEMPERATURES WILL BE AT OR
BELOW NORMAL THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND.
