FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
514 AM EDT WED MAY 20 2015

...MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND WITH THE
NEXT BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY...

.DISCUSSION...A LARGE AREA OF DRY HIGH PRESSURE EXTENDING FROM THE
NORTHERN PLAINS INTO THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES WILL KEEP CONDITIONS
DRY ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN TODAY. A WEAK COLD FRONT SAGGING SOUTH
FROM ONTARIO WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT INTO EARLY THURSDAY.
AN ISOLATED SHOWER ALONG THE FRONT COULD POP UP NEAR MENOMINEE
THURSDAY AFTERNOON...OTHERWISE ONLY SCATTERED CLOUDS WILL ACCOMPANY
THE FRONT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL ONCE AGAIN BUILD ACROSS THE UPPER
GREAT LAKES THURSDAY NIGHT AND PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND MAINTAINING
DRY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA. THE NEXT CHANCE OF WETTING RAIN
LOOKS TO BE SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES
IN FROM THE PLAINS.
