FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
539 AM EDT TUE JUL 29 2014

...AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THROUGH THE REST OF
THE WORK WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW ROTATING NEAR JAMES BAY WILL SWING
SEVERAL DISTURBANCES ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN THIS WEEK. THESE
DISTURBANCES...ALONG WITH DIURNAL HEATING...WILL LEAD TO
OPPORTUNITIES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE AFTERNOON
HOURS THROUGH FRIDAY. THE STRONGEST AND MOST WIDESPREAD SHOWERS ARE
EXPECTED TO OCCUR TODAY OVER WESTERN AND CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN.
OTHERWISE...THE BEST CHANCES FOR PRECIPITATION WILL BE AWAY FROM LAKE
SUPERIOR AND LOCATED NEAR LAKE BREEZES THAT DEVELOP OFF LAKE
MICHIGAN. SATURDAY IS TRENDING DRIER AND MAY BE THE ONLY DAY THROUGH
NEXT MONDAY WHERE RAIN MAY NOT OCCUR IN THE U.P. HIGHS WILL BE A FEW
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL TODAY AND WEDNESDAY...THEN THEY WILL SLOWLY INCH
TOWARDS MORE NORMAL VALUES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.
