FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
535 AM EDT Thu Sep 21 2017

...UNSEASONABLY WARM AND HUMID FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH A
SMALL CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY FAR WEST...

.DISCUSSION: With weak high pressure moving across the Upper
Great Lakes today, no precipitation is expected. A warm front
will then move north across Upper Michigan tonight and Friday
morning, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Unseasonably warm and humid conditions will then follow for Friday
afternoon through Sunday. Some record highs will likely be set as
afternoon temperatures rise well into the 80s across much of
Upper Michigan each day. Conditions will be cooler near Lake
Michigan and Lake Huron. There will be a small chance of showers
and thunderstorms over far western Upper Michigan Saturday and
Sunday. A cold front slowly moving across the Upper Michigan late
Monday and Tuesday will then bring an increasing chance of
showers and thunderstorms eastward across the area. Temperatures
will fall back to near normal on Wednesday.
