FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
529 AM EDT FRI JUL 25 2014

...HIGHER RELATIVE HUMIDITY TODAY...WITH UNSETTLED WEATHER THROUGH
THE WEEKEND...

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WHICH HAS BEEN IN CONTROL OF THE WEATHER
ACROSS THE AREA SINCE WEDNESDAY WILL EXIT TO THE EAST. THIS WILL
ALLOW FOR SOUTHERLY WINDS TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AHEAD OF
A WEAKENING COLD FRONT. AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT ACROSS
THE REGION. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ON
SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN. A STRONGER LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA ON SUNDAY...ALLOWING FOR A
WIDESPREAD RAIN ACROSS THE UPPER PENINSULA AS WELL AS MUCH COOLER
TEMPERATURES. CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS BY MONDAY WHICH WILL
ALLOW FOR DRY CONDITIONS WITH BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
