This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western Upper
Michigan and central Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Waves 13 to 16 feet will lead to additional beach erosion and
lakeshore flooding along Lake Superior in Marquette and Alger
counties this morning. See the latest lakeshore flood advisory
statement for more details.

A few inches of slushy snow and gusty north winds to near 40 mph
along Lake Superior will result in difficult travel conditions
this morning over northern Upper Michigan. See the latest special
weather statement for more details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A strong low pressure system is expected to develop over the
central Great Lakes Saturday with blustery north to northwest
winds developing from Saturday into Saturday night along with
some lake effect snow. The strong northwest winds...gusting near
40 mph along the Lake Superior shoreline east of Marquette and
over the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula...will generate high waves
which could lead to minor lakeshore flooding and beach erosion.

Northwest gales of 35 to 40 knots are expected over the east half
of Lake Superior this morning. Please see the latest marine

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Southerly gale force wind gusts of 35 to 40 knots are possible
Friday across central and eastern Lake Superior. Please see the
latest marine weather statement for further details.

Northwest gales of 35 to 40 knots will be possible across central
and eastern Lake Superior late Saturday into Saturday night.
Winds will diminish below gales late Sunday morning.

Northwest gales of 35 to 40 knots will be possible again Tuesday
into Wednesday morning.
