This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western Upper
Michigan and central Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A light wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing drizzle will
transition to light rain this afternoon.

Gusty south winds today, gusting near 40 mph along the Lake
Michigan shoreline will generate high waves which could lead to
minor lakeshore flooding and beach erosion.

Patchy freezing drizzle will be possible tonight over parts of the
western U.P.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A strong low pressure system is expected to develop over the
eastern Great Lakes Saturday with blustery north to northwest
winds developing from Saturday into Saturday night along with some
lake effect snow. The strong northwest winds, gusting near 40 mph
along the Lake Superior shoreline east of Marquette and over the
tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula, will generate high waves which
could lead to minor lakeshore flooding and beach erosion.

Southerly gale force wind gusts of 35 to 40 knots are possible
today across central and eastern Lake Superior. Please see the
latest marine weather statement for further details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Northwest gales of 35 to 40 knots will be possible across central
and eastern Lake Superior late Saturday into Saturday night.
Winds will diminish below gales late Sunday morning.

Northwest gales of 35 to 40 knots will be possible again Tuesday
into Wednesday morning.
