...GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS EXPECTED TODAY OVER THE KEWEENAW
PENINSULA...

GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA TODAY
BEHIND A COLD FRONT THAT MOVED THROUGH EARLY THIS MORNING. THE WINDS
ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY INCREASE THROUGH THE DAY...WITH THE HIGHEST
GUSTS EXPECTED DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. THE PEAK GUSTS
DURING THE AFTERNOON WILL BE AROUND 40 MPH...WITH A FEW GUSTS TO 45
MPH POSSIBLE OVER EXPOSED LOCATIONS INCLUDING BROCKWAY MOUNTAIN.
WHILE THERE WILL BE SOME DIMINISHMENT TO THE WINDS TONIGHT...THEY
ARE STILL EXPECTED TO GUST BETWEEN 25 AND 35 MPH.

WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH COULD DOWN SMALLER TREE LIMBS AND LEAD TO
DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
