KEWEENAW AND ONTONAGON COUNTIES UNTIL 730 PM EDT/630 PM CDT/...

AT 545 PM EDT/445 PM CDT/...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
WAS TRACKING HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A
LINE EXTENDING FROM SILVER CITY TO UPSON TO 33 MILES WEST OF PARK
FALLS...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 14 MILES WEST OF ONTONAGON TO
11 MILES SOUTHWEST OF IRONWOOD TO 33 MILES WEST OF PARK FALLS.
ANOTHER LINE OF HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS WAS LOCATED FROM 10 MILES NORTH
OF BARAGA TO 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BARAGA. THESE HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS
WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE EXPECTED UNDER THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS.
ALTHOUGH THE INDIVIDUAL SHOWERS ARE MOVING QUICKLY...ADDITIONAL
HEAVY SHOWERS WITHIN THESE LINES WILL MOVE OVER THE SAME LOCATIONS.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF BETWEEN 0.50 AND 1.00 INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN AN
HOUR OR TWO UNDER THE HEAVIER SHOWERS THAT WILL IMPACT WESTERN UPPER
MICHIGAN INTO THIS EVENING. THIS HEAVY RAIN MAY RESULT IN BRIEF
RUNOFF PROBLEMS AND PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS.
