...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
1 AM EST WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect
from 1 PM this afternoon to 1 AM EST Wednesday.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Expect snow to develop around 1 PM and then diminish around 1
   AM Wednesday.

 * The heaviest snowfall rates will occur between 1 PM and 7 PM
   this afternoon.

 * Winds gusting as high as 40 MPH will cause widespread blowing
   and drifting snow, especially near Lake Superior.

 * Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected this
   afternoon through this evening.

IMPACTS...

 * Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the evening
   commute.

 * A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
   visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling
   and blowing snow.
