...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Expect snow showers through this evening. The most persistent
snow showers will occur northeast of a line from Munising to
Shingleton and Germfask. Plan on additional snow accumulations
of 1 to 3 inches from late this morning through this evening.

 * Relatively light southwest winds this morning will shift to
the northwest and quickly increase this afternoon, with
wind gusts as high as 45 to 55 mph near Lake Superior into
   this evening.

 * The gusty winds will cause considerable blowing snow,
especially in open areas near Lake Superior.

IMPACTS...

 * Roads will be snow covered and slippery.

 * The combination of falling snow and blowing snow will reduce
visibility to as low as one quarter to one half mile at times
in open areas this afternoon into this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means
that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of
   falling and blowing snow.

 * Prepare, plan, and stay informed. Visit www.weather.gov/mqt
