...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT
/10 AM CDT/ THIS MORNING...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Periods of rain and freezing rain will continue through this
morning. During heavier precipitation, the rain and freezing
rain could mix at times with sleet. The combination of
diminishing precipitation and slightly warming temperatures
should decrease the icing hazard late this morning.

 * The greatest additional ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of
an inch are expected at locations across central Upper
Michigan including, but not limited to, Watersmeet, Crystal
Falls, Iron Mountain, Gwinn, Rock, Shingleton and Newberry.

IMPACTS...

 * Expect hazardous driving conditions on untreated roads,
especially side streets and less traveled roads. Plan for very
icy conditions on untreated parking lots, sidewalks and
   driveways.

 * Ice accumulations are also expected on elevated surfaces,
   such as trees and powerlines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
and sleet will cause travel difficulties.

 * Prepare, plan, and stay informed. Visit www.weather.gov/mqt
