...LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS
AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MARQUETTE HAS ISSUED A LAKE
EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY FOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW...AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH
IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * SNOW WILL DEVELOP EARLY THIS MORNING AND BECOME MODERATE TO
   POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES BY MID MORNING. THE HEAVIEST BAND IS
   EXPECTED TO OCCUR FROM NEAR OR JUST SOUTH OF CALUMET NORTH TO NEAR
   DELAWARE. SNOW TOTALS IN THESE AREAS ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN 3
   AND 6 INCHES THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. LOCATIONS NORTH AND SOUTH OF
   THE MAIN BAND WILL GENERALLY SEE 1 TO 3 INCHES OF NEW SNOW.

 * WEST WINDS GUSTING TO 20 TO 30 MPH THIS MORNING WILL CAUSE
   BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW...ESPECIALLY FOR LOCATIONS ALONG THE
   WEST SIDE OF THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR.

IMPACTS...

 * ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY RESULTING IN HAZARDOUS
   TRAVEL.

 * VISIBILITY MAY BE REDUCED WHERE BLOWING SNOW OCCURS...ESPECIALLY
   THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS
FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS.
