At 916 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 9 nm northeast of Timbalier Bay
to 12 nm southeast of Timbalier Island to 34 nm southwest of
Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, moving east at 40 knots.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.
