...Strong Southerly to Southwesterly Winds Expected Through The
Early Afternoon...

With mixing starting the increase this morning, a few observation
sites across southwestern MN are starting to see sustained winds
between 25-35 mph with gusts up 40 mph. By the early afternoon, a
few sites could come close to wind advisory criteria especially
along the higher elevation areas of the Buffalo Ridge. However,
the window for the higher wind speeds is expected to be short and
intermittent enough to hold off on extending our current advisory
across the rest of southwestern MN. With that being said, make
sure to secure any lose objects or patio furniture if possible.
