This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Southwest North
Carolina...East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This Evening and Tonight

Isolated strong thunderstorms possible this evening. Main concern
being strong gusty winds, small hail, brief heavy rain and

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

...Strong to Severe Storms possible both Friday and Saturday
Afternoon and Evening...

A cold front will move into the region friday producing widespread
showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms could be strong to
possibly severe from the mid-afternoon to early evening. The main
concern being hail up to quarter size, damaging downburst winds up
to 60 mph, heavy rainfall and lightning.

A storm system will move across the Tennessee Valley Saturday and
interact with a frontal boundary to produce widespread storms
across middle Tennessee and northern Alabama by mid-day. These
storms will move into east Tennessee and southwest North Carolina
by late afternoon and evening. Some of these thunderstorms may be
strong to severe producing large hail, strong damaging winds,
heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

The heavy rainfall late Saturday and Saturday night may produce
localized flash flooding.


Spotter activation may be needed late Saturday afternoon and
