...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN SHANNON...EAST
CENTRAL HOWELL AND NORTHERN OREGON COUNTIES THROUGH 830 PM CDT...

At 746 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of Alton, or 12 miles north of Thayer, moving northeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Winona, Birch Tree, Koshkonong, Brandsville, Thomasville, Rover, and
Greer.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
