BOATERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON THE SOUTH COASTAL WATERS ON FRIDAY...ESPECIALLY ON THE OPEN WATERS SOUTH OF THE ISLANDS AND EAST OF NANTUCKET. SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG WINDS OF UP TO 50 KNOTS AND WATERSPOUTS...IN ADDITION TO FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND ROUGH SEAS. THE MOST LIKELY TIME IS FRIDAY AFTERNOON BETWEEN 1 PM AND 6 PM.
