A general 2 to 6 inches of snow fell across the region with a water equivalent ranging from 0.10 to 0.60 inches from north to south. For today, skies will gradually clear as northwest winds increase to 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph. There could be some flurries this afternoon otherwise conditions will be dry. High pressure will build over New England tonight bringing dry weather and frigid temperatures. The high will move offshore Tuesday afternoon. Yet another storm will affect Southern New England Tuesday night and Wednesday. Precipitation will start out as snow Tuesday evening with light accumulations before a changeover to a wintry mix Tuesday night. It will warm to around 40 degrees on Wednesday changing any wintry mix to rain. Rainfall totals are expected to be light and under 0.25 inches. Area main stem river levels are expected to change little over the next 48 hours.
