Storm total rainfall from Saturday night through last night averaged 1 to 2 inches across the region with some isolated higher amounts. For today, a few sprinkles will be realized this afternoon across the region but overall conditions will be dry with temperatures slightly cooler than normal. High pressure will build overhead tonight providing mostly clear skies and dry conditions. Warmer temperatures move in Tuesday ahead of an approaching cold front from the west. It will be partly to mostly sunny across the region, however clouds will increase across western sections later in the afternoon. The cold front will bring widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Tuesday night and Wednesday. Some storms Wednesday may be strong along with locally heavy rainfall. Area main stem river levels will decline slightly through Wednesday, but the Connecticut and Merrimack Rivers will show slight rises.
