A cold front approaching the region from the west will bring likely showers and thunderstorms to western sections this afternoon which will spread to the east coast this evening. By Friday morning, any lingering showers or thunderstorms will exit east of Cape Cod. Behind the exiting cold front, weather conditions will turn less humid on Friday and continue through the weekend. Overall it will be dry, except a weak cold front could bring isolated showers and thunderstorms Saturday evening. Area main stem river levels will remain nearly stationary through Saturday.
