915 FNUS51 KBTV 280903 FWFBTV Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and Northern New York National Weather Service Burlington VT 503 AM EDT Wed Jun 28 2017 ...Transitional Day Today Before Wetter Pattern Develops... .DISCUSSION... Northwest flow aloft has developed over the area in the wake of the low pressure system that brought widespread showers and storms to the area on Tuesday. Most areas will remain dry today...but we still cannot rule out the possibility of some showers developing this afternoon. Most areas will only have a slight chance of showers in the forecast...but a little better chance of seeing some showers will be over north central and northeast Vermont. Any of the showers should dissipate around sunset. Afternoon relative humidities will be the lowest of the week...but still only get down into the 45 to 55 percent range. Flow aloft becomes westerly overnight tonight and this will allow for the warmer and wetter pattern to become established on Thursday and continue right into early Sunday. Higher humidities will be the rule along with fairly widespread precipitation. Many locations should see total rainfall of at least an inch during this period.
