000 FNUS51 KBTV 240732 FWFBTV Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and Northern New York National Weather Service Burlington VT 332 AM EDT Sun Sep 24 2017 ...Extended Period Of Dry Weather Continues... .DISCUSSION... Many locations across northern New York and Vermont have seen a tenth of an inch or less of rainfall since about September 10th. With a large area of high pressure persisting over the region through at least Tuesday the extended period of dry weather is expected to continue with no additional precipitation forecast. Temperatures will continue to remain above normal...around 20 degrees above normal...and with higher dew points afternoon relative humidities will lower into the 40 percent range through Tuesday. Good humidity recoveries are expected each night. The high pressure system over the area will also result in light winds through early next week. At this time the next chance for precipitation will come on Wednesday and especially Wednesday night into Thursday as an upper level trough of low pressure moves into the region.
