OVER NORTH CENTRAL TO NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO. THIS INCLUDES THE
SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS...UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY NEAR TAOS...THE
RATON PASS AND ADJACENT RIDGE...AS WELL AS THE HIGHLANDS AND HIGH
PLAINS NEAR CAPULIN...DES MOINES...SPRINGER...WATROUS...WAGON
MOUND...AND LAS VEGAS. SNOW LEVELS WILL HOVER BETWEEN 7500 AND 8500
FEET...BUT WILL BE LOWERING INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS AFTER
MIDNIGHT. HIGHER PEAKS ABOVE 8500 FEET WILL SEE A DUSTING TO TWO
INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION BEFORE 2 AM. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL
GENERALLY BE LIGHT...AMOUNTING TO JUST A FEW HUNDREDTHS TO A COUPLE
OF TENTHS OF AN INCH. MOTORISTS ALONG INTERSTATE 25 NORTH OF RATON...
AND ALSO ALONG U.S. HIGHWAYS 64 AND 87...CAN INITIALLY EXPECT WET
CONDITIONS WITH TRAVEL LIKELY BECOMING MORE TREACHEROUS BY MIDNIGHT
WITH THE CHANGE OVER TO SNOW.
