CENTRAL NEW MEXICO...

.A potent upper level disturbance and associated surface cold
front will cross the state tonight, bringing strong to high
winds. The winds will subside around daybreak.

Winds have decreased below warning criteria, therefore the warning
will be allowed to expire. However, erratic gusty winds to 45 mph
will remain possible through the evening and overnight hours as a
cold front sweeps through the area.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST SATURDAY...

* LOCATION...The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Central and Northeast
  Highlands, Raton Ridge, Johnson Mesa and Union County.

* WINDS...West 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, becoming
  northwest.

* TIMING...High winds will continue to be a threat well into the
  night, diminishing before daybreak.

* VISIBILITY...No significant restrictions, but visibilities may
  briefly drop between 3 and 5 miles in blowing dust.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...Strong cross winds will make travel difficult
  along north to south oriented roadways and exposed areas on
  ridge tops. Damage to trees, power lines, light weight
  objects, and weakened structures is possible from these winds.
  Snow over the Sangre de Cristo mountains could accumulate a
  couple of inches overnight above 8500 feet, with blowing snow
  reducing the visibility to under 1 mile at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remember, A High Wind Warning means damaging winds are imminent
or highly likely. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or
gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

* LOCATION...Guadalupe County, especially western portions of the
  county.

* WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, becoming
  northwest after midnight.

* TIMING...Strong winds will persist into the evening and
  overnight hours. These winds will diminish by daybreak Saturday.

* VISIBILITY...No significant restrictions expected.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...Strong cross winds will make travel difficult
  along north to south oriented roadways. Items such as trash
  cans, lawn furniture, and other loose or lightweight outdoor
  objects may become airborne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should exercise caution while travelling. Sudden gusts
of wind may cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Extra
attention should be given to cross winds.

* WINDS...West becoming northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to
  55 mph.

* TIMING...Winds will remain strong through the night, finally
  diminishing around daybreak.

* VISIBILITY...No significant restrictions expected, but may
  briefly lower between 3 and 5 miles in blowing dust.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...Strong cross winds will make travel difficult
  along north to south oriented roadways and through mountain
  gaps locations. Items such as trash cans, lawn furniture, and
  other loose or lightweight outdoor objects may become
  airborne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should exercise caution while travelling. Sudden gusts
of wind may cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Extra
