A fire growing pattern is expected to continue through Wednesday. Gusts up to 60 mph and an even drier airmass than today will combine to create critical to extreme fire weather conditions areawide tomorrow afternoon. Critical fire weather conditions stick around in eastern NM on Wednesday, but winds drop below critical thresholds across most of central and western NM. A pattern change ushers in a more moist airmass late in the week. Gusty east winds are likely through the gaps of the central mountain chain Thursday morning and again Friday morning. Showers and storms will favor the high terrain of northern NM late week into the weekend.
