.DISCUSSION...
Today will be the last day of very hot temperatures across the burn
area. High temperatures today will be near 100 degrees but will drop
into the 80s on Friday. The moisture across the area this morning
will continue to mix out this afternoon, dropping relative humidities
below 15 percent. This will also be the last day of excellent
ventilation rates. Between 6 and 9am Friday, a strong cold front will
slide through the area. Winds will become northeasterly initially,
but then will become easterly an increase in speed. Mixing heights
will lower significantly, however. Much richer low level moisture
will move in behind the front, so humidities on Friday afternoon
should be much higher than today. Not out of the question that some
low clouds could form Friday morning after the frontal passage as
well. A stray thunderstorm or two are possible, mainly during the
afternoon hours.
