.DISCUSSION...Dry air will stay entrenched over north central New
Mexico today, keeping thunderstorms from developing. Seasonal high
temperatures in the low to mid 80s will be complemented by low
humidity less than 20 percent this afternoon. Fortunately breezes
will remain light to moderate, generally from the west or northwest.
Into Saturday, moisture will start to push into the area, leading
to some scattered showers and thunderstorms by late afternoon and
evening. A very wet period is then shaping up for Sunday through the
first half of next week with numerous showers and thunderstorms
expected with heavy downpours possible.
