ACROSS THE EAST CENTRAL PLAINS AND THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS BEFORE 9
PM MDT AND ENDING MOST AREAS ACROSS THE SANGRE DE CRISTOS BY OR
BEFORE THE MIDNIGHT HOUR. THROUGH 9 PM THERE MAY STILL BE AS MUCH AS
1 TO NEARLY 3 INCHES OF NEW SNOW ACROSS THE CENTRAL SANGRE DE CRISTO
MOUNTAINS...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN CHACON AND TRUCHAS. NORTHWEST WIND
GUSTS WILL STILL REACH 35 TO NEARLY 50 MPH ON OCCASION ACROSS THE
HIGHER PEAKS AND RIDGES...CREATING SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING
OF THE SNOW. VISIBILITIES MAY TEMPORARILY DROP TO WELL UNDER A MILE
IN HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN AND SNOW COVERED...
SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED. FOG PATCHES WILL ALSO DROP
VISIBILITIES TO UNDER A MILE IN SPOTS ACROSS THIS AREA AS WELL AS
PORTIONS OF THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS AND A LITTLE LATER THE EAST
CENTRAL PLAINS WHERE SIGNIFICANT SNOW HAS FALLEN AND WINDS ARE
LIGHTER.
