COVERAGE AND SOMEWHAT IN INTENSITY ACROSS MUCH OF THE EAST HALF OF
NEW MEXICO THROUGH THE EARLY PREDAWN HOURS. MOVEMENT WILL BE TO THE
EAST SOUTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 MPH. THE MAJORITY SHOULD BE NEAR AND NORTH
OF INTERSTATE 40...THOUGH A SECOND AREA WILL LIKELY EXPAND SOMEWHAT
ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS. EXPECT MODERATE RAIN WITH BRIEF HEAVY
DOWNPOURS TO PRODUCE AMOUNTS RANGING FROM ONE TENTH TO A THIRD OF AN
INCH...THOUGH ANY STRONG STORMS THAT MAY DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT MAY
PRODUCE BETWEEN A HALF INCH AND INCH. IN ADDITION...OCCASIONAL
LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MPH AND A FEW INSTANCES OF SMALL
HAIL ARE LIKELY WITH ANY STRONG STORMS THAT MAY DEVELOP.
