A LARGE AREA OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL IMPACT THE EAST SLOPES
OF THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND MOST OF THE EASTERN PLAINS THROUGH 8
AM. INTENSITIES AND COVERAGE WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE OVER THE
NORTHERN SACRAMENTOS AND SOUTHEAST PLAINS THROUGH MID MORNING.
ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES
AND FAVOR THE EAST SLOPES AND IMMEDIATE HIGH PLAINS. WIND SPEEDS
WILL GRADUALLY LOWER ALTHOUGH WIND CHILLS WILL RANGE BETWEEN MINUS
5 TO PLUS 15 MOST AREAS. VISIBILITIES AT TIMES WILL BE REDUCED DOWN
TO A HALF A MILE DUE TO A STRONGER SNOW BAND.

FOR LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW OVER THE JEMEZ MOUNTAINS
AND SANGRE DE CRISTO AREAS BETWEEN SANTA FE TO TAOS. ADDITIONAL
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD BE AN INCH OR LESS. LOCALIZED FREEZING FOG
WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES DOWN TO A HALF A MILE AT TIMES.

A BAND OF MID TO HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW AND LOWER ELEVATION
RAIN/GRAUPEL WILL SLOWLY SAG SOUTHWARD AND IMPACT THE WESTERN
HIGHLANDS AND LOWER/MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY THROUGH 8 AM. A
CHANGEOVER TO FLURRIES AND LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE
ALBUQUERQUE METRO AREA AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY BEFORE THE
PRECIPITATION WINDS DOWN MID TO LATE MORNING. THE MAIN FOCUS WILL BE
ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40. VISIBILITIES AT TIMES WILL BE
REDUCED DOWN TO 1 MILE ALTHOUGH LOCALIZED FOG WILL BE FOUND ALONG THE
HIGHER PEAKS. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD RANGE BETWEEN 0.5 TO 2 INCHES
FAVORING THE HIGHER TERRAIN AROUND MAGDALENA AS WELL AS THE WEST
SLOPES OF THE SANDIA/MANZANOS AND GALLINAS MOUNTAINS.
