WILL GENERALLY BE WEAK WITH LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL...BUT STRONGER
STORMS WILL BE ABLE TO PRODUCE A BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOUR...WIND GUSTS UP
TO 40 MPH...AND CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. THROUGH 330 AM MDT...MOST
OF THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD FAVOR THE LOWER AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE
VALLEY...JEMEZ MOUNTAINS AND SANTA FE METRO AREA. HAZARDOUS WATER

CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN AND ADJACENT HIGHLANDS. MOST OF THE ACTIVITY
WILL MOVE TOWARD THE EAST OR NORTHEAST AROUND 15
MPH...SHIFTING STORMS ONTO THE EAST CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST PLAINS
THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING. STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING OVER 1.25 INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN AN HOUR WITH WIND
GUSTS TO 45 MPH AND DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. THROUGH 330
AM MDT I-25 WILL BE IMPACTED IN SPOTS FROM SANTA FE TO RATON PASS...
AND I-40 WILL BE IMPACTED IN SPOTS FROM TIJERAS CANYON TO SANTA ROSA.
HAZARDOUS WATER LEVELS MAY QUICKLY DEVELOP IN SMALL STREAMS...ARROYOS

OR NORTHEAST AROUND 15 MPH....THOUGH A FEW STORMS MAY BUILD TO THE
SOUTHEAST. STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING OVER 1.25
INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN AN HOUR WITH WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH AND
DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. THROUGH 330 AM MDT HIGHWAY 285
WILL BE IMPACTED IN SPOTS FROM MESA SOUTHWARD TO THE EDDY COUNTY
LINE...AND U S HIGHWAY 70 WILL BE IMPACTED BETWEEN ROSWELL AND
PORTALES. HAZARDOUS WATER LEVELS MAY QUICKLY DEVELOP IN SMALL
STREAMS...ARROYOS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. MINOR FLOODING IS
EXPECTED THROUGHOUT ROSWELL AREA.
