SNOW WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY AND COVERAGE ACROSS THE EASTERN
PLAINS THROUGH 6 AM. SNOW INTENSITY WILL REMAIN STEADY ALONG THE
EAST SLOPES OF THE SOUTHERN SANGRE DE CRISTOS AND PICK UP ALONG THE
SANDIA/MANZANO AND NORTHERN SACRAMENTOS THIS MORNING. EXPECT AN
ADDITIONAL 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES OF SNOW. VISIBILITIES AT TIMES WILL BE
REDUCED DOWN TO A HALF A MILE. BLUSTERY NORTHERLY WINDS WILL PROVIDE
NEAR ZERO AND SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILLS ACROSS MOST OF THE EASTERN
PLAINS.

SCATTERED BANDS OF MAINLY SNOW SHOWERS WILL IMPACT THE NORTHWEST
PLATEAU...NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY
THROUGH 6 AM. THE MAIN FOCUS AREA WILL BE FOUND ALONG AND SOUTH OF
A LINE FROM CHACO CANYON TO TAOS. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL
RANGE BETWEEN 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET. LOCALLY UP TO 2
INCHES THROUGH 6 AM EXPECTED ACROSS THE HIGHER WEST FACING SLOPES.
VISIBILITIES AT TIMES WILL BE REDUCED DOWN TO A HALF A MILE WITHIN
THE HEAVIER SNOW BANDS. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO LOWER DUE TO
COLD FRONTAL IMPACTS SO WATCH FOR ICY ROADS AT TIMES.

6 AM. THE MAIN FOCUS AREA WILL BE FOUND ALONG INTERSTATE 40 BETWEEN
THOREAU TO ALBUQUERQUE. SNOW WILL BE FOUND ABOVE 7500 FEET WITH AN
INITIAL MIXTURE OF SLEET...RAIN AND SNOW BELOW THAT LEVEL. THE MIX
PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW WITHIN 30 TO TO 45
MINUTES OF THE ONSET. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL VARY BETWEEN 0.5 TO
1 INCH WITH GRASSY SURFACES EXPERIENCING SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WITHIN
ALBUQUERQUE.
