MOST ORGANIZED PRECIPITATION WILL GRADUALLY SHIFT SOUTH INTO EAST
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS TO INCLUDE THE
CAPROCK...SANTA ROSA...MELROSE AND FORT SUMNER WHERE DETERIORATING
TRAVEL CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH 7 PM. THE RAIN SNOW LINE WILL CONTINUE
TO SAG SOUTHWARD...WITH SNOW NOW EXPECTED FOR ALL OF EAST CENTRAL NEW

PM...EXPECT SNOWFALL RATES WITHIN HEAVIER SNOW BANDS TO AVERAGE 1/2
TO 1 INCH PER HOUR. ADDITIONALLY...ISOLATED THUNDER WILL ACCOMPANY
SNOW SHOWERS BETWEEN ACOMA PUEBLO AND BEAVERHEAD AND RESULT IN VERY
LOCALIZED BUT INTENSE SNOWFALL RATES FOR BRIEF PERIODS. LOCATIONS
NEAR THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6500 FEET WILL HAVE

ALBUQUERQUE TO BELEN.  THE HEAVIEST AND STEADIEST SNOW WILL CONTINUE
TO FALL OVER THE JEMEZ MOUNTAIN REGION TO THE ESPANOLA VALLEY TO THE
SOUTHERN END OF THE SANGRE DE CRISTO RANGE AS WELL AS THE IMMEDIATE
SANTA FE AREA EXTENDING NORTH ALONG HIGHWAY 285 TO POJOAQUE.
SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS TO ROADS WERE GENERALLY LIMITED TO ELEVATIONS
ABOVE 7500 FEET. SNOWFALL RATES IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL AVERAGE
BETWEEN 1/2 AND 1 INCH PER HOUR...WITH DIFFICULT TRAVEL EXPECTED TO
EXPAND TO LOWER ELEVATION LOCALES DURING THE EVENING. MOTORISTS
