VEGAS WHERE LATE AFTERNOON READINGS WERE JUST SHY OF 32 DEGREES.
THROUGH 8 PM...THESE AREAS CAN EXPECT LOCALIZED AREAS OF
DENSE FREEZING FOG AND DRIZZLE OR FREEZING DRIZZLE. WHILE MINIMAL
ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED...SOME AREAS MAY OBSERVE WET OR SLICK
PAVEMENT AS DRIZZLE AND FOG FREEZES TO ROAD SURFACES. OTHERWISE...
BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO
BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MPH. TRAVEL IMPACTS ARE NOT EXPECTED THROUGH

THROUGH 8 PM MST...RAIN AND HIGH ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE
TO EXPAND IN AREAL COVERAGE OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF NEW MEXICO
THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS AS A COLD FRONT MOVES EAST ACROSS THE AREA.
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CANNOT BE RULED OUT IN THE FOUR CORNERS REGION
AS WELL AS NEAR AND WEST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE. SNOW ACCUMULATION
LEVELS WILL GENERALLY VARY BETWEEN 8000 TO 9000 FEET WITH A DUSTING
TO A COUPLE INCHES OF NEW SNOW EXPECTED AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS AND
A FEW TO SEVERAL HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAINFALL BELOW. AREAS OF
MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL FAVOR THE HIGHER WEST AND
SOUTHWEST SLOPES OF MOUNTAIN RANGES IN NORTHWEST NEW MEXICO WHERE
VISIBILITY WILL PERIODICALLY BE REDUCED. SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL LATER
THIS EVENING TO INCLUDE SOME LOWER ELEVATION LOCALES SUCH AS
GALLUP...FARMINGTON...GRANTS AND CUBA. IN ADDITION...WINDY
CONDITIONS WITH OCCASIONAL WIND GUSTS TO BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MPH WILL
PERSIST.

TULAROSA BASIN. SNOW LEVELS WITHIN THIS MOISTURE STREAM WILL REMAIN
QUITE HIGH AND GENERALLY ABOVE 9000 FEET IF NOT HIGHER. AS A
RESULT...TRAVEL IMPACTS DUE TO ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BE LIMITED TO
SKI RUN ROAD BELOW SIERRA BLANCA. HOWEVER...RAIN FALLING ON SNOW
BELOW 9000 FEET MAY ACCELERATE SNOW MELT INTO THE EVENING AND RISES
IN AREAS CREEKS AND STREAMS COULD BECOME NOTICEABLE. ELSEWHERE...
TEMPERATURES ON THE EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST PLAINS ABOVE THE
FREEZING MARK WILL CONTINUE TO WARM INTO THE EVENING AND REMAIN
STEADY IN THE UPPER 30S TO LOWER 40S THROUGH TONIGHT. THUS NO
CONCERNS FOR FREEZING FOG OR FREEZING PRECIPITATION IN THE IMMEDIATE
